A large problem I have seen is West Coast people broadcasting shows at around 9 or 10pm EST. thats really late and your audience will be much smaller then it can be. There is a reason why the entire world runs on EST

It really comes down to your audience. If they are tuning in at 11pm thats great. If you are getting 30 people tuning in... It might be time to consider a new time.

I broadcast live at 11pm ET for a few reasons. The main reason being my schedule makes it impossible to broadcast earlier. I also have strong language in my broadcast so I like being outside of the "family" hour so 11pm is attractive. I will say that at times I've wanted to test that waters earlier but I'd have to change the air date. My three hour broadcast would kill me in an earlier slot.

@mytakeradio - Have you ever broadcasted at a different time to see if it effects your viewership?

5pm PST worked great for me until I moved my studio and now my bandwidth is shit.
I think it really depends on your audience. I started on late night, weekend radio and built a national audience with respectable Arbitron ratings at 11pm EST on Sunday nights, and I do the "bald" show.

I wish I could. I don't get home till 8:30 ET and usually prep till 11. Obviously I have to eat dinner and all that stuff so its really tough. If my schedule were different I would definitely try it.

I have noticed that Tuesdays and Wednesdays are busy days for internet broadcasters. Why is this?
