    Available to guest host, etc.

Hey, guys. I thought I'd just toss it out there - if you need a guest host for your show, then I'm available. As of late, as many of you already know, I have a lot of time on my hands. I'm not asking or trying to invite myself to be on your shows. I'm just offering, if you find that someone cancelled on you or you have a void to fill, I'd be happy to help out. My background is technology and I love scifi and fantasy books, shows, and movies - anything nerdy and geeky, I'm your guy.

So, if you need a spot filled, just lemme know. You can always email me at gda@adkisson.co.

    Hi there,
As soon as I can figure out mix minus I would'nt mind a chance of co-hosting a show, or having a guest co-host on my own podcast. Again Geek and tech related. I am also availiable to provide a tech perspective from the UK

To set up your mix minus, make sure that you are feeding the computer input with the USB sound card built into the Mackie mixer. Then, set up Skype to use the internal sound card on your computer. (Tools | Options | Audio Settings) The line input to the onboard sound card connects to the FX output on the mixer. The speaker output on the sound card connects to an available channel, such as 5/6 or 7/8. Turn up the FX control on each channel EXCEPT the Skype channel. The FX channel control for the Skype channel remains at zero. That's your mix minus.

Make sure your levels are correct. The Skype meters are very helpful. You will know you have mix minus set correctly when you see your voice through the mic showing up only on the Skype input meters, and the person on the other end of the Skype call only shows up on the speaker meters.

By the way, I'm available as a guest to talk about audio. As I have a 9 to 5 work day, any guesting will have to be on nights and weekends Eastern time.

I am also open for guest appearances as well. I feel that there are not a lot of podcasters of color being recognized for what they are doing as well. Especially female podcasters.

Actually, I'm interested in some new guests. Will probably start working at the top of the list and start working my way down...lol.

I have a guest today on my show today as well. With the technology that we have now it is too easy to get guests now.

Just had Donovan as guest...what a blast! Going through the pre-recording seems to be an issue with audio every time I switch video shots. I think I left the virtual audio checked in Desktop presenter. But its still watchable. I did the Techwebcast show right afterward with no problems. So it seems Desktop presenter might be the problem.
