Chris from what I understand it is not two hdmi inputs. Its one HDMI and one Analog. I have heard some people say this works.. and other say it does not.

The best HDMI capture card that I have found (as of today) is the Magewell XI200de-HDMI (http://www.magewell.com/hardware/hdm..._features.html) or the Magewell XI400de-HDMI (http://www.magewell.com/hardware/hdm..._features.html) both have inputs only and can take up to a 1080p60 signal.

I wonder what type of Thunderbolt chassis I can use for the Magewell XI200de-HDMI or SDI card.

Last year we switched over to AJA Kona 4 cards. We have two in out production machine right now. We can technically do 8 SDI video inputs.

The Sonnet Express PCI expansion boxes work very well. There are other brands too. Check here: https://thunderbolttechnology.net/products

BlackMagic Intensity Pro is what I use... $199 I paid for it. This link is to the latest version that includes 4K and the price is still reasonable. You can buy cheaper for sure, but the difference will be made up on issues you will have with a non-BM card and support.

The price is right for this quality.

Check out Blackmagic... they specialize in video, they aren't a onsy twosy company.

Its amazing the longevity this capture card has had. I believe it has been out on the market for 7 years. The latest update ( as far as i know the only hardware update the card has ever received) show really help in the gaming world.

I had issues with the BMD Intensity Pro. After working well for some months it would blue screen my Win7 Pro host. That, and the inability to capture from 1080p60 sources, led me to the AVER Media Game Broadcaster HD C127. It's a PCIe card that handles 1080p60 sources, converting them to 1080p30 for recording.

The C127 game me fewer issues with drivers than the BMD card. It works well with both Wirecast and vMix HD.
