    Does anyone use broadcast cameras instead of webcams.

    If so, what kind are they and what kind of video card do you use.

    Canon and Sony

    I use sony hdr xr500 and canon gl2

    Hi, not sure you will find too many guys using broadcast cameras, but plenty of us use consumer grade video cameras.


    I use a Canon HV30 and HV40 cameras, cos they are pretty cheap when you find um 2nd hand (200-300 GBP each) then connect to the pc via HDMI into a black magic intensity pro card.

    Sony EX1 HD-SDI going into either a Matox MXO2-LE or Blackmagic UltraStudio MiniRecorder.

    We use a Canon XL1 and a Panasonic DVC 200... and run them into a cheap USB capture card sadly.
