Mini MIC THING: Portable Mic Isolator

Has anybody here used a Mini MIC THING: Portable Mic Isolator before or any other similar product? Any thoughts? Does it really help to improve the quality of your sound?

I am looking at improving into the quality of my audio but I have a limited budget right now so I can only afford to do it slowly. Do you guys think it is worth investing in one of these?

It will depend on the type of microphone, along with its pickup pattern, you use.

They can help, but they are not a panacea. It's better to reduce noise, such as computer fans, at its source. Consider doing some acoustical treatment in your recording room. It would be very uncomfortable for me to talk staring into one of those things.
Please direct all questions for me to the forum so that all can benefit.
