2014: Name a mic that does not need a compressor and gate?

Name a mic that does not need a compressor, gate, and has a very quiet noise floor that is good enough for broadcasts or podcasts?

I really like the Blue Nessie for podcasting. It has three settings, Raw (like any other mic), Music, and Voice (these have effects like compression and EQ built in and optimized for music or voice. It also has a built in pop filter and shockmount, and a silent mute switch on the mic itself. It is $64 at Amazon. http://www.amazon.com/Blue-Microphon...ds=Blue+Nessie

I'm not aware of a mic that needs any of those. However, any mic, especially a condenser, will benefit from a noise gate, like a dbx 286s, since the acoustics in most rooms used by podcasters are bad.
Please direct all questions for me to the forum so that all can benefit.

To kinda follow what Mike said:

You dont "NEED" to have a compressor / Gate. Its a nice addition to your setup but not something that you need to have.
