    Open Broadcaster Software

Does anyone here use OBS? I just discovered it. How good is the quality compared to Wirecast? All I need to do is lower thirds and camera shots along with live streaming.

I am working with it for the past month. It is a excellent software and has amazing features.

Start viewing youtube videos on it, search with "OBS" or "Open Broadcaster".

You can stream with it, and create file. You can use it for stream and post edit videos.

The sound tools are good as well.

There is a forums on the site and a chat where people are interested to help, and generally very fast responders.

Here are a few interesting softwares I have found:

I would give this one a 2 thumbs up -
    Voicemeeter - http://vb-audio.pagesperso-orange.fr/Voicemeeter/
Voicemeeter has the ability built in to do a mix minus, and some basic sound editing on the fly. It is donationware, and very reliable. Soon enough I am sure ti will be more full featured as people continue to download it.

    Mixx - http://www.mixxx.org/
A DJ Audio pack with a wild interface.

Don't overlook, Audacity is still a foremost audio editor, and I own several paid softwares. I still do things with audacity in post edits.

Forum member, "Moviebuff" is always posting good stuff on this forums. ALways worth it to watch his video postings.

    Hi Podnutter,

OBS is great and it's free. Do you need static lower thirds (non moving lower thirds? Do you need to change them on the fly for live settings?)?

Here is one way of doing lower thirds with OBS:

Wirecast 5 is great. The layered system is easy to use and it's stable. There's a rumoured 64bit version of Wirecast coming soon. It will be worth the wait.

Thank you very much domineaux and likewise!
