    Auphonic going freemium

Today Auphonic dropped the bomb that they're going freemium. I totally understand from a business perspective, but it sucks for a show like mine that doesn't bring in any money. Right now I'm pretty much the one shelling out for the costs of hosting the show, and I can't even get some of my hosts to spend $50 on a USB mic.
Is there any decent tool that we can run locally on our audio to do some of the post processing that Auphonic does? We've used Levelator prior to Auphonic, but started looking around because it wasn't doing a very good job for us.

    You might try out https://www.izotope.com

They have plugins that will allow you to post edit audio.

Auphonic is a service Levelator is a software.

I use a couple of software and even levelator, but services will always cost you. They have to pay people to do the service.

I ran a show through Auphonic today, just out of curiosity. The result was terrible. It was nothing but sizzle - not even boom.
Please direct all questions for me to the forum so that all can benefit.
