Who owns your video, rights to your video, etc. when you submit to video sites

This is a question with many answers. I am posting this FYI, but I think it has merit as a good discussion topic.

I have been working on a unique project I originally planned to submit to youtube, to get the exposure. Now, I'm beginning to think I might do well to not yield rights of extended constant usage to someone like a youtube that can monetize the content. I'm not sure I would get a piece of the action, but what if I didn't want to monetize the content would I have a choice?

So, I'm thinking I might need to be more careful about posting videos on internet video sites. I don't think there is anyway under any circumstances youtube would allow any individual changes in their terms.

Here is a video interview with an attorney in the above linked document.
