Question Do Teenagers Listen to Podcasts?

I would love to see some sort of demographic for teenagers that listen to podcasts. We all know that the Kids are hip to these type of things but are they interested in listening to talk radio style podcasts. I read somewhere that the average viewership time on youtube is under 3 min. If youth is being conditioned to watching.listening to short content how can they/will they listen to long form talk

Maybe they'll listen to a 3-minute podcast on Miley Cyrus. God help us.
Please direct all questions for me to the forum so that all can benefit.

Mine do not even though they've co-hosted on a tech podcast with me before. For them it's all about YouTube, Twitch, Reddit and hanging out in group chat on Skype.

I have a 19 year old nephew that listens to podcasts. I think it really has to do with the age of the teen. 13-16 is really not going to listen but 18 and 19 year olds are around the age they start driving to work and listen to talk radio

I think it really comes down to the person. I grew up in a house that loved talk radio. Same with my wife. I started listening to talk radio around the time i was 14 and never stopped. Even though my generation is different than the teens of today they have a lot more talk radio style content available to them via tunes and ever other podcast app. The question should be. What podcasts appeal to teens.

many of my listeners are teenagers. I have listeners as young as 9. Weird cause my show is pretty adult oriented.

It really just comes down to the content and the length of the podcast. Most teenagers do not have the attention span to listen to long form content. Thats why youtube videos under 3 min do very well
