    USB Microphone noise cancellation

I do audio recording from my Macbook Pro and my place is noisy. I currently have an audio technica 2000 Microphone which is great but it picks up all the background noise.

I was wondering if there is a USB Microphone that you would recommend that has noise cancellation built in.

    Thanks

Wireless mics are designed for live audio. If your mic is wireless the mfgr has probably already done their best to eliminate background noise.

Usually best practice is to eliminate background noise as possible.

This video should help if you can post edit your audio.

Otherwise, you might have to find a source for a mic to specifically meet your needs, i.e., very focused narrow range for audo reception.

    Thanks Domineaux,

I was hoping there was a hardware solution vs. a software solution like Audicity.

Thank you so much for your advice.

    Hey Brandon,

what type of background noise is the mic picking up? If you are looking for a USB Microphone the only one I ever recommend is the ATR-2100 and the AT-2005USB. The are almost exactly the same microphone.

I live above a Dry Cleaners and you can slightly hear the machines down stairs. I have the Audio Technica AT2020. Works great in a quiet room. But will pick up background noise.

a condenser microphone will pick up a lot more background noise than a dynamic microphone. the ATR2100 and AT2005 Are both dynamic microphones.
