Some Wireless Microphones Doomed Thanks to the FCC?

There is an interesting document on the FCC web site from Audio-Technica to the FCC regarding the spectrum that wireless microphones operate on becoming unusable.

This seems kind of crappy for anyone has has invested in wireless devices that operate on these frequencies.

Well it won't stop working but if another "licensed" device is using that spectrum it may interfere with the performance of your wireless. I have an older wireless system as well.

After performing a bit of research it appeasr this 600mhz allocation will likely be for cellular carriers which may be problematic for a wireless microphone in my under educated opinion. Here is a link to the very long and yawn inducing document from the FCC.

Look specifically at page 123 where they discuss the 600Mhz band... and read the rest if you need to go to sleep.
