Recording with two USB Microphones

A friend asked me this question and I didnt know how to answer it

Is it possible to record a podcast with two usb microphones? he does not have a mixer.

There is a way with a Mac, but I am a windows user who is about to do a full conversion to the dark side. Windows but windows I dont believe there is unless someone knows how to finagle Virtual Audio Cables

I cant think of a reason why you would want to use two USB devices to record a show. the only possible way I can see it working is if you skype each other from another room.

I have tried it and it never worked out. The USB cable is too short and there is a a lot of cross talk

Yes, there are ways. Are you using a MAC or PC?
