I will be setting up my recording station in a pretty large room. is this a problem. I have seen some people take extreme measures with sound proofing. I still want the room to function as my everyday office
you really wont know until you start recording. Do you have a lot of furniture in the room. The more you have in there the better it will sound. Make sure you dont have a lot of reflective surfaces like glass desks and windows. If you are in a room with a lot of windows make sure you have decent windows treatments.
image.jpgimage.jpgI find a lot of people work to get rid of echo and other large room issues by treating the entire room. When you can solve the problem by just isolating the mic from the room.
Just a basket with an acoustic foam lining that was spray glued in and a pop filter.
That's the DIY version, you can also buy pre-made versions, but I found them to be pricey for what they are and not as isolating.
