    Interesting new camera from Sony...HDR-MV1

    Saw this in my never ending quest for the perfect gear...or is that a disease not a quest... In any case thought it might be interesting to others. I was looking for a inexpensive camcorder to use in my soon to be starting studio when I found this... It won't ship until December.

    haha It can for sure be a illness It seems to have a decent microphone on it. Would love to see some real world testing with it.

    Also interested to know if you can output to another screen without the on screen displays enabled. If so this could be a webcam replacement

    It does appear, based on the videos I've watched, that you can utilize a smart phone for remote control. However I can't determine if you can do live feed out. It has wi-fi which introduces latency but it does have HDMI and USB so that's promising...
