I also bought a DBX 286 because of Mike Phillips... The fact that its under 200 bucks is crazy this thing is amazing.

Probably my Macbook Pro retina. I needed a good laptop to help with recording my podcast and never had a mac before. Love it!

I don't actually have a podcast yet but of the gear I purchased so far I like my Electro-Voice RE20 the best. Of course it's still early in the week so I may have a new favorite piece of gear in a few days.

I'd have to say my MDX 2600, Zoom H2 and my ATR 2100 (thanks Mike Phillips) the most and my Sony A57 SLR as a close second. May sell the MDX 2600 and get the DBX. Been on the fence about that.

I am sure once we do video I'll add my cameras to this list.

Yes, that PR40 is a very good sounding mic although it's a tad bright for my taste, or at least with my voice. Oh well, why have one mic when you can have two.

Update: I ended up ordering a different mic pre as I wasn't really happy with the dbx 286s. Yeah I know, 'it's the best mic pre out there, especially for the price' but I'm just finicky I suppose.
