Anybody using a Zoom H1 as their broadcast microphone? If yes, how do you like the quality? Do you have any broadcast links showing examples of the audio quality?

I have used the Tascam DR-40. Works great and you get two channels with it

From what I have heard the Tascam and Zoom are pretty much the same. You can save a few bucks with the Tascam

I own a Zoom H1 at the moment. I'm trying to figure a few things out. Thanks for the incredibly fast replies.

I use an H2 to record my broadcasts and it is a solid piece of equipment. I will most likely be upgrading to the DR-40 in the near future.

We use the H4 to record our show and it's fantastic. I've used the onboard mics on it as well as the H2 for other projects and they sound great. They do pick up everything! So try and record in a quite space.

Solid state recorders are nice because they have very low noise floors compared to desktops and laptops. You don't get all that electronic cross talk.

I'm considering a Zoon or Tascam after returning the Marantz 661 MkII just yesterday.
