    Boom Mic suggestions

I have recently started recording the Chaunce Hayden show with a Canon 5d Mark II and need to mic this thing some how. What do you guys suggest I use for a mic.

Rode Video Mic Pro is an easy solution. Cheap mic, plug and play, but will probably pick up lots of unwanted background noise. You could always buy something like a JuicedLink or BeackTek XLR adapter that connect to the DSLR Mic input jack and then allows you to plug in regular XLR mics.
