    Open Broadcaster Software

    This looks interesting. http://www.obsproject.com/

Bwana uses this on his Twitch channel and it appears to be working well for him, even though it's early days.

I haven't had a chance to test it out since I am still mid-build on my new PC.

Here is a tutorial I found on YouTube to help with settings

    Check it out.

A new standard for "nickle and dime you to death" :-) Went to the site, clicked on "buy", selected all options (99 cents to 9.99), and at the end it added up to $99.00, WOW, what a deal!!! Until I noticed "Per month".
    Did I miss something?

I'm assuming there was an April Fool's joke in there somewhere. I visited the site today and there isn't a buy button and it is free and open source.

I asked my oldest son, who is a Twitch.TV admin, about this software and he said it worked really well, but that XSplit (paid version) now had all the same features. I own and have used XSPlit before, but I haven't kept up with its development cycle since I went to using Wirecast.

For a free, open source method of streaming, I think OBS is perfect.

I think it's in need of some testing to see how it does with CPU and system resources. Anyone game to run it through it's paces??
