Head On - Livestream Studio vs TriCaster 40

Jan Ozer of streamingmedia.com today posted a review comparing the Livestream Studio HD500 to NewTek’s low end TriCaster, the TC40. In the review Jan compares everything from the hardware of the two boxes to the production capability. Jan speaks of his frustrations trying to connect his cameras to the Livestream Studio’s capture hardware took quite a lot of trouble shooting, and to the same effect, his frustration *that the Livestream Studio is not mix and match formats like the TriCaster is. He also talks about the fact that the Livestream Studio’s DDR can only playback files formatted in a certain codec, while the TriCaster 40 can pretty much play anything you throw at it.

To conclude, I agree with Jan that Livestream Studio at this point is really no contender to NewTek’s TriCaster 40. For the full story, check out http://www.streamingmedia.com/Articl...rticleID=88300
