Chris, it is one input with HDMI pass through I believe. Breaking news though. Avermedia has released some new software in beta that allows you to use the Live Gamer Portable as a camera source in Wirecast, VB, VMIX, OBS, XSplit etc. It is called the LGP Stream Engine. So now you can use the device as a USB2 HDMI/Component capture device. (or as a streamer, or as a recorder - one function at a time) More on this later as I test it. The software is in beta at the moment so there will be many improvements going forward. Interestingly it appears to allow you to record that camera at the same time as streaming to the switcher/encoder
I would love a Quad HDMI Capture card.. It would make my life a lot easier :)
The best HDMI capture card that I have found (as of today) is the Magewell XI200de-HDMI (http://www.magewell.com/hardware/hdm..._features.html) or the Magewell XI400de-HDMI (http://www.magewell.com/hardware/hdm..._features.html) both have inputs only and can take up to a 1080p60 signal.
Last year we switched over to AJA Kona 4 cards. We have two in out production machine right now. We can technically do 8 SDI video inputs.
The Sonnet Express PCI expansion boxes work very well. There are other brands too. Check here: https://thunderbolttechnology.net/products
BlackMagic Intensity Pro is what I use... $199 I paid for it. This link is to the latest version that includes 4K and the price is still reasonable. You can buy cheaper for sure, but the difference will be made up on issues you will have with a non-BM card and support.

The price is right for this quality.
Check out Blackmagic... they specialize in video, they aren't a onsy twosy company.
