I almost never care about products being showcased at CES. In large part I find that the amount of products being showcased is overwhelming, making it difficult to actually spot what is good. For example, you'll probably read press releases for 50+ different TVs and laptops. Also it seems like a lot of what gets talked about are products that either never make it out of the showroom to never be heard of again or take a good year or more before being available in the market.
I would like to see some new webcams :)
4k TVs for sure! I can't wait to see what they do. I also want to see better smart tVs
Time for a TV upgrade...so more 4K sets... I would love HD-1080p PTZ Webcam under $200
I think its time for me to upgrade also but I'm not going to wait for a 4k TV. It will take years before the cable companies will move over. We are no where near 1080p right now
I'm with Andrew in that I don't feel the tech industry has really addressed webCams with much enthusiasm. Those currently available don't seem to address the market in terms of quality and features. For that, you currently have to step up to a camcorder with supporting accessories.
It's not just the manufacturers that are the problem. I don't think most people outside of internet broadcasting care whether the webcam they have is the best it can be. Nor do most video services. I am constantly appalled at the absolute horrid quality of most video services, Google Hangouts included.
This looks interesting. Has 1080P, 60fps, video auto focus, mirror-less and an APS-C sensor.

This is very impressive, especially from a company that tends to over price products. Great price point. USB2 in/output? Now let's see if it technically performs well.
Hmmm that's a camera that might be interesting to me... $399 on Amazon...

Not sure about the fisheye lens however and if they could get it sub 300 bucks that would help...
I had the lower priced version sans the 4k in my Sony shopping cart before switching to a CZ A-Mount lens. Glad I held off on the camcorder' until next fall as I limit myself to one piece of cam gear per year. As many of us know, its the 'required' accessories that add up quickly!
Same here.
I'm really impressed by this USB-HDMI dongle: http://www.magewell.com/hardware/usb...s.html?lang=en Minus the 300$ price.

300$-400$. I wonder how it compares to the GoPro3+.
Was an awful year this year. nothing interesting... nothing big...
I didn't watch the video but I agree that 2013 certainly held true to the unlucky number of 13.
