I think we're going to continue to see a consolidation and changing of business models.
Livestream changed their business model some time back with New Livestream where "free" requires login (they get the viewer's email address). They also sell software and hardware and now offer an event space to rent along with on site restaurant.
Bambuser limits use of their free service to webcams. You must use their paid service (or be a citizen journalist to the benefit of A.P.) to use external encoders.
It'll be interesting to see how Ustream evolves.
YouTube may soon dominate the "free" space.
