Recording "Skype in the Box" ...

Scenario:

Studio Host and Skype participant to be recorded inside your DAW utilizing a slightly advanced configuration.

Are you able to do a mono sum of Audio 1 and Audio 2 in your headphones, or do you hear yourself and the Skype caller in different ears?

Good observation. In order to maintain the channel separation, and since you would be monitoring through the mixer - the conversation would be split. For me it's not a big deal once you get used to it. And the resulting files help when taking things into post.
