I wanted to know if there has been any information regarding new webcams in 2014. The c920 seems like the best camera to buy but its a few years old at this point. What possible improvements can be made to webcams?

I looked for info on upcoming webcams at CES 2014 and found nothing.
One thing to consider is using your cellphone as a webcam (DroidCam Haven't tried it). Some cell phones have great resolutions. The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 has 4K video recording capabilities.
