Does iMovie work with external webcams?!

I make my YouTube videos with iMovie. In the past I've used a Firewire camcorder which doesn't want to work properly with the new version of iMovie.

I'd thought about getting a Logitech C920, but heard that iMovie won't work with external webcams.

Does anyone know, from experience, if this is true?!

Good question. I think many people would like to use a webcam as a source and record in imovie

I did my research, and thought about it. My solution was to move everything back to my Mac mini, and the older version of iMovie.
