Stream Live Video From Your Tablet or Smartphone

Does anybody stream using an iPad, mic and a phone?

I wonder how some people do it from their GoPro and stream live.

I have tried but had very little luck getting it to be stable over 4g. I have seen people skype via an iphone and it looks great at times
