I am having a issue with skype. After about 45 min everything gets "digitally". It gets so bad that no one can understand what I am saying. Can someone tell me why this happens

What's your internet connection speed (up and down) and how reliable is it? Anyone else in your household using it at the same time?
Are you using a USB mic? If you are what microphone?
What version of skype are you using and what OS? Hope you do not have auto update on for skype. Some of the new versions of Skype have issues. It is best if you turn off auto update and stick to a version.
Skype is constantly evaluating the connection and adjusting on what it thinks the bandwidth available is. If someone on your network suddenly starts using up bandwidth skype will adjust.
What type of internet connection do you have?
