In 2011, I started investigating the cost of bringing News to my station. There were issues with regard to OfCom rules and 'sponsoring' the news, if I tried to make it self financing. I spoke to all the usual sources for purchasing news and I just thought they were to expensive for audio only internet broadcasters and not packaged generically enough for stations to simply rebroadcast the news packages.

So, I am looking again at a 'News Room' Service for us and other broadcasters. A subscription based service, produced by an in house team of staff journalists. World news, no political Spin. Is there an appetitite for this among broadcasters? Do Internet Broadcasters want world news?

Any feedback useful, I have not though t this through. Our listener demographic is north of 35.

Hey Eric. I'm in Reidsville and launched CarolinaClassicHits.com back in January. It's doing well and I'd like a little news presence in the mornings between 6A & 9A, preferably headlines and 60 seconds or less. The station, while worldwide, puts the emphasis on The Carolinas with a more R&B lean, 70s intensive and Beach Music. If you have any ideas, let me know. The station sounds live but is totally self-contained and automated. Thanks.

What was the outcome to this thread? It just says "call me." Is there a news Service available for online radio stations?

What are the posted prices?

What are the current options for internet broadcasters who seek live syndicated streaming content for their online radio stations? (Spoken audio content)

I will post the above question as a New Topic.

I'm not aware of such a service. Maybe there's an opportunity for you. :)
