I have been researching various methods for reducing the files size of my mp3 files.

Yes, I've found quite an assortment of ways to do this.

Formatfactor, MP3 quality modifier, Super converter, audacity, itunes and etc.

Some take one file at a time, some do multiple files in sequence.

Youtube has many videos and there seems to be no best way.

It is also important to remember you want to keep your ID3 information intact with a change in the files as well.

I am interested to read what others are doing to compress MP3 competently in less time.

What is the bitrate of the files you're compressing? Do you have Adobe Audition?

From steinberg forum (https://www.steinberg.net/), I found the following solution to reduce MP3 files size:

There is an article which introduces a tool and two solutions to reduce MP3 file size (http://www.faasoft.com/articles/mp3-compressor-mac-and-windows.html).

Solution one: Adjust bitrate to reduce MP3 file size
Solution two: Adjust Sample Rate to compress MP3

It also applies to compress WAV, AAC, AC3, DTS, M4A, AIFF, FLAC, WMA, M4B, etc.

Hope it will help you more or less.
