You need to update to the latest version of Wirecast 4.1.3. It fixes a lot of issues in the audio system.

The update is free. Just got to Telestream's site and grab it and Wirecast should update fine.

Matt, all Wirecast standard updates have been free going back to version 3.0.6 I believe . . . at least since 3.5. Update Desktop Presenter as well to version 2.0.1.
With Wirecast ALWAYS update to the latest version. Each update fixes bugs and some improve features or add new ones. Always keep the previous version around though "just in case."

A lot of programs require you to pay when updating, so wasn't to sure. I did update but have the "Demonstration of Wirecast" watermark.Any idea why? Sorry am new to the Telestream software so am not familiar with this program.

If your version of 4.0.1 was licensed and you updated on the same computer it should automatically take.
Look under Preferences and the Register button. You should see something that says Product Wirecast Serial Number (your serial number). Only people updating from the older VaraSoftware serial number may need a new one. If it was from 3.x serial number I think you can request a replacement number. When Telestream bought VaraSoftware they changed the serial number system.
