Hi all! I live close to Melbourne, Australia and am 89 episodes into a show where myself and a friend share what's currently happening in our lives, often resulting in philosophical discourse. Then again, it almost as frequently results in juvenile penis jokes. (Not surprisingly, it's NSFW.)

* JnJunrelated.com (http://jnjunrelated.com/) *

It was inspired by Roderick on the Line (http://roderickontheline.com), in terms of minimal editing requirements, free-flow conversation and freedom of topics/content.

Oddly - for the world of podcasting - I host it on Tumblr, and hand-code the XML feed like a CRAZY man. I've used Wordpress/PodPress for previous podcasts, but wanted to see if using Tumblr as our platform helped result in more exposure/interaction. (Plus there's less maintenance than Wordpress (despite ease of use), and no costs, like for Squarespace (of which I'm also a user).

Well, so far? (With the way I've gone about things, thus far) it has not resulted in much of anything, beyond the sound of crickets. It mostly just gets followed by other Melbourne podcasters trying to get some exposure. :)

I saw one Tumblr podcaster uses a tonne of "LOL" type tags to try and piggy-back off those. These are probably discussions for another part of the forum, though.

In many ways, the content of our show is first and foremost for myself and co-host, Adam. We have conversations that often personally help me in life.

We're not trying to appeal to a certain demographic or niche, and I'd say that any appeal the show has would be in our personalities, rapport, humour and/or conversation topics we cover.

This is my first post in the forums. If you've any thoughts regarding the production of JnJ, or indeed the Tumblr website, I'd appreciate hearing them.

Cheers, and thanks for your time,

Daniel
