I have been doing some thinking about this topic. Do you really need to have an RSS for your podcast? Why couldn't you just upload your video to youtube and call it a day.
Most people now have 4g phones and can watch youtube videos via their phone.

I would say yes, primarily because I wouldn't want to be locked into Youtube as my sole distribution provider. RSS gives you the ability to be more agnostic about your audience's preferences. Personally I don't go to Youtube to check my subscriptions as much as other people, yet I listen to my podcast app on my phone multiple times daily. Also think about the data that youtube on the go would eat up. Most of my video podcasts are downloaded over wifi and I can consume them without eating up my phone's data.
