I use WordPress to manage my Podcast but have seen others like Joomla! and Drupal. I like WordPress because of the plugins that other people write for creating RSS feeds like PowerPress. I'm wondering what you guys use?

Wordpress. They make it very easy to do everything you need for your podcast.

Unless you are coming up with your own CMS specifically made for Podcasting... WordPress is it. That being said... it does have some issues... Still, for the time being, it is the best especially when using Blubrry's PowerPress.

What are some of the issues you have found?

WordPress alone is okay, but you would be missing out on many features that will help get the right RSS to push your feeds to iTunes and various other directories. PowerPress helps, but it is also bloated and sometimes difficult for the newbie to put together.

CMS aside, I don't think I have ever truly seen someone put together a website that is truly podcast focused or makes the best use of the content. Even the major players: TWiT, Nerdist, Carrola Digital, 5by5, don't have websites that truly make sense for podcasting. Some of those are better than others, but I feel like each one is missing something.

My site, especially right now in a transition phase, is far away from ideal for podcasting.

I guess my thoughts are there are a lot that do them well, but none that have stood out as being that "OMG" moment where you can see they have figured it out for podcasting.

Those are more design issues and not backend CMS issues though.

Carrolla Digital is WordPress: http://adamcarolla.com/carolladigital/
TWiT is Drupal: http://twit.tv/
Nerdist is WordPress: http://www.nerdist.com/
EarWolf is WordPress: http://www.earwolf.com/
5by5 is their own brew using Ruby: 5by5.tv

Most people here are using WordPress...
