Laptops for podcasting. Suggestions please

I am in desperate need for a new laptop. I want to get something that will last me a while and allow me to record my podcasts without any issues. I am considering one of the new Macbook Pros but dont know if thats a good choice

With the new Macbook Pro 15" Retina you'll have a beast of a machine. Look for instance what's this guy (http://stretchinternet.com/blog/2013/07/high-definition-three-camera-inputs-one-laptop-3500/) is doing with it (previous version).

It really comes down to how much you are looking to spend and what you plan on doing with it. You do not need to have an i7 to record a podcast. If you plan on doing video anytime soon I would suggest getting something beefy.

If you want to get a mac the 13 inch macbook pro is a great laptop

I just bought a new macbook pro a few months ago. Its great but it sucks when it comes to audio. There is only one audio jack on the laptop. The older macbooks have both input and output. I had to buy a usb adapter ... Very upseting
