Cimarron High is a small school in rural Northern New Mexico. We have 70 students 9-12. Our broadcast team has been in existence for 7 seasons. Our team is made up of students 7th grade through Senior. This is a totally student run production with Executive producers, directors, up to five different camera angles, cg graphics, student created commercials and animations, replay and a live pregame show.

Check out our site, we might surprise you. We think we do something special.

When you go to the site, our past broadcasts are below if the live show is offline.

Looking good. Great job by your students. Lots of rich content and crazy ideas caught on tape. Well done.

Love to hear more about your work flow, cameras, PC, switcher (hardware or software), audio mixer, mics, etc.

Great example of what students can do with some coaching!

Thanks Tom for the comments.

Here is a sort of template of our workflow:

CONTENT:

I teach two other courses that are responsible for media content for our broadcasts.
- Our Video Production Course is responsible for all commercials, PSA's, news shorts, animations, pre game interviews, etc...
They utilize Final Cut, Motion and After Effects for development and output all work as a DV stream for loading in our Edirol.
- Our Graphic Design students are responsible for all logos, and graphics needed for Vid Pro projects or as Targg images to be imported into our CG.

BASIC BROADCAST EQUIPMENT (Just so you know, the kids and I ordered the customized desk and did all installation of the desk, control room cabling and equipment. This is not our original desk. Before we had everything on makeshift tables)
