Hi guys I am hoping some of the audio savvy people out there can help me out with this problem. I recorded a test podcast with a blue snowball the other night and the audio had a hiss. A lot of hiss. I hear the same thing on some other podcasts and want to correct it.

Any suggestions would be great !

I'm no expert but have you checked for ground loops. I did a quick search here and there are a number suggested fixes...

Like Alburr said are sure its a hiss and not a buzz. If you hear a buzz it can be a loose wire or a ground loop issue.

If it is in fact a hiss try lowering the volume on either your recording software or the microphone. You also could be picking up a lot of room noise

A Blue Snowball is USB, there would not be a ground loop. What audio software are you using to record? Remember that the Blue Snowball is a condenser mic and will pick up all kinds of noise.

Is the noise there when you are listening to it in the DAW or only after you output it?

I hear it in the recording. I am using it on windows if that matters
