The best value in a USB sound card is the Behringer UCA202. It's Mac and Windows compatible.

What input are you trying to add to your Mac that you need a sound card for?

The only ones I've ever tried are the Griffin Tech iMic (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003Y5D776/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B003Y5D776&linkCode=as2&tag=thgufrquponet-20) and Syba USB Audio Adapter (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001MSS6CS/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B001MSS6CS&linkCode=as2&tag=thgufrquponet-20).

The iMic I could never get to work under Windows 7 but worked fine with my Hackintosh. The Syba works fine in Windows 7.
