Just a quick FYI for all podcasters who host on Libsyn

They have added a new section to there TOS that doesn't allow you to use a 3rd party ad service other there own.

VIII. MONETIZATION

Any attempt to directly monetize Your Content via third-party ad networks or other outside business agreements at the expense of Libsyn without written approval from Libsyn is prohibited. If you choose to monetize, Your Content, you agree to utilize Libsyn Service to enable monetization including but not limited to in-content advertising, iPhone applications or sale of Your Content which may include additional requirements for revenue sharing or fees for use depending on the Service.. To request permission to monetize Your Content via third-party ad networks or other outside business agreements at the expense of Libsyn, please email contact@libsyn.com

The wording leaves a LOT to be desired. While the company is apparently not enforcing all of the terms of services, based on a broad reading of the language, they may have the right to do so.

The Parol Evidence Rule (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parol_evidence_rule) in the law says that you are bound by the terms of the WRITTEN agreement. Oral arguments are ineffective to change the terms of the agreement.

Just third party ads. IE any ads that do not come from Libsyn. Which really limits your ability to monetize your podcast.
